Mrs. Abshire is married to Joseph “Bo” Abshire and they have two sons; Justin and Jarred “BubbaDoo”, daughter-n-law Jessie, and grandchildren Jarret and Haisley.  She is a graduate from Sulphur High School and received her Bachler of Science in Management with a minor in Marketing.  She is owner and operator of A Door-Works, Inc. an overhead door company, serving Southwest Louisiana and surrounding areas since 1994. Prior to 1994, Mrs. Abshire was employed at Stockwell, Sievert, Viccellio, Clements and Shaddock as their Legal Administrator for 22 years.  Mrs. Abshire has served as a Board Member and Past President of Sulphur Parks and Recreation for 23 years, Board Member of Sulphur Housing Authority, Board Member of The Home Builders Association of Southwest Louisiana, Past President of Gilmar Acres Homeowners Association, Board Member of Delta School of Business, and Member/President of the West Deanery Vocations.  She has numerous professional membership affiliations, including, The Chamber/Southwest Louisiana, The Better Business Bureau, The Home Builders Association of Southwest Louisiana, Associate General Contractors, The International Door Association, and The International Hurricane Protection Association.  Mrs. Abshire has been a pro- active participant and contributor to civic endeavors and local youth programs for many years.   She and her family are active members of Immaculate Conception Church in Sulphur.
