  • When are the Bank Draft dates?
    • All August bills will draft on 9/8/2025
    • Beginning September 2025 all bills will be drafted on their Due Date.
  • I am already setup on AutoPay what do I need to do?
    • If you signed up on "Paystar" online for your AutoPay, using your credit card or ACH, this AutoPay service will be turned off on August 29, 2025.  You can log into Paystar and verify if this is where you setup your AutoPay.  PayStar Bill Pay - Login If you want to continue AutoPay using your card or ACH, you will need to register for Tyler AutoPay when the system is available.
    • If you signed up with the "City" for Bank Draft with a city utility billing clerk, you don't have to do anything.  
    • ZERO FEE OPTION - If you are interested in signing up for City Bank draft with no additional fees please fill out the Bank Draft Authorization Form.

  • When will Tyler Resident Portal be available?
    • The Tyler Resident Portal will be available soon after we go live with the new software the week of September 16.  Notifications will be sent out via Regroup, Facebook, and the City's website.  Click on the link to sign up for Regroup Citizen Notifications.  Citizen Notification Signup
  • What are the fees associated with using credit cards or ACH?
    • All credit card payments and other options using Tyler Payments will have third party fees associated with the payments.  These fees are charged and collected by Tyler Payments.  The City does not get any money for these fees.
    • Third Party Fees
      • Credit Card Fee is 3.09% with a $2.50 Minimum per Transaction
      • ECheck fee is $1.50 per Transaction
      • IVR Pay by Phone is the above credit card or ECheck fees plus .50
    • What you might see on your credit card\bank statement
      • CITY OF SULPHUR LA - this will be your utility charges from the city.  This money goes to the city.
      • TYL SULPHUR SERV FEE - this will be the Tyler third party fees.  This money goes to Tyler Payments.
    • ZERO FEE OPTION - If you are interested in signing up for City Bank draft with no additional fees please fill out the Online Bank Draft Authorization Form.
  • Why am I seeing a fee added when I use a credit card?
    • The Tyler Payments system charges this fee to cover the cost that comes with processing credit transactions.
  • Did my utility rates increase because of this new system?
    • Utility increases that happened earlier this year are unrelated to the new system implementation.
  • When will I get first full page Utility Bill?
    • The 20th and 30th billing cycle will receive the first full page bill in September.  The 10th billing cycle will be in October.
