Police Chief Lewis Coats and the Sulphur Police Department invite the community to participate in the City’s 16th annual National Night Out.

 

“America’s Night Out Against Crime” will take place on Tuesday, August 7th, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the West Cal Arena. This family-friendly event is meant to heighten awareness of crime, drug, and violence prevention efforts and encourage community participation. There will be free food and drinks, live music, games, an antique car show, and exhibits from Sulphur Police Department, Sulphur Fire Department, Acadian Ambulance, Carlyss and Houston River Fire Departments, Louisiana State Police, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, United States Coast Guard, Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, Lifeshare Blood Center, Westlake Police, Lake Charles Police, Sulphur Animal Control, and many more! There will also be special appearances by McGruff the Crime Dog and Derrick the Miner.

 

There will also be a drop-off site for school supply donations as the Sulphur Police Department and Sulphur City Council attempt to fill a jail cell with donated items.
